ThePast

Mosse was born on the 10th of August 1977 (...making him 34.51 years old...) in the southwest city of Turku in Finland. After 10 years the family moved to the capital Helsinki, where his father Bo took a journalist position at the largest swedish-languaged newspaper Hufvudstadsbladet. During high-school, Mosse also took a job at this same company, and stayed at several job positions (including printing, marketing and advertising) for many years, until he decided he had had enough of the city life and moved out to the countryside county of Siuntio at the age of 24.

Siuntio has been his home ever since. After some odd jobs as a silk-screen printer and teacher of webdesign at a community college he took a job as a security guard to make a little extra cash. A year later, he became the foreman for the alarm dispatch unit and now, almost six years later he is still there, making a little extra cash...

At the tender age of about 15 Mosse picked up the habit of smoking cigarettes. This expensive hobby continued (with a few short breaks) until a beautiful day in April 2006, when a series of uninteresting events occurred which led to Mosse quitting the bad habit. Since that time, 2119 days (5.81 years) have passed, and with an average habit of 15 smokes per day, that means that Mosse has now not smoked 31790 cigarettes, or 1590 packs. At the price of cigarettes when Mosse last bought them, he has now saved approximately 6678 euros, which he has blatantly spent on other stuff.

ThePresent

Those euros have most likely been spent on (A) Tech gadgets (including cellphones, computers and coffee apparel...) or (B) Boardgames. These are a few of his favorite things. At the moment he has five functioning computers; a 24" 2.66GHz iMac, a 15.6" 2.1GHz Acer Aspire 5536, a 15.4" 2GHz HP Compaq 6715b and a 1.02MHz Commodore 64. His cellphone is a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music and he has a collection of 100+ boardgames on his bookshelves. It was a good thing Mosse quit smoking...

Days go by filled with work and these hobbies, and when batteries need recharging he can always rub either one of his cats, 20-year-old and blind Mirre or 7-year-old Saga for some static electricity. These creatures form the thin red line between something that can legally be disclosed as "sanity" and cabin fever. A few years ago, Mosse during a random walkabout on the internet, stumbled on the phenomenon "podiobooks", which in a sentence are free, serialized audiobooks usually read aloud, recorded and published by the authors themsleves. He has since become a mass consumer of these pieces of literary art, has found new favorite authors (Scott Sigler) and has bought hard-cover printed books by these same authors to support them. He is very fond of supporting services which are provided free-of-charge, also supporting a handful of websites and podcasts which he enjoys. Wealth should be spread.

TheFuture

Mosse will undoubtedly carry on doing what he does, as he has not yet figured out what exactly he wants to be when or if he ever grows up. He will probably never become an astronaut however, as he suffers from a fear of heights. This does not in any way disturb him, as he has a very limited interest in astronomy even if he enjoys science-fiction. And although one of his keen interests is history, he will probably not become an archeologist either, because he - like Indiana Jones™ - doesn't enjoy the company of snakes. He does however, have a scar on his chin - like Indiana Jones™ - although from a much less macho incident. (He fell off a toy car as a child...)
